The road to the Lions Gate Bridge was closed all day while crews attempted to clear the Stanley Park Causeway through the Park.

Heard these all night - like someone practicing sound effects with sheet metal. Dumpster lids slamming, stray branches hitting cars and setting off car alarms, BIG trees waving back and forth like drunken sailors. Nuts.

some amazingly large trees fell down in Stanley Park - probably hundreds, they say. The Stanley Park causeway was closed and the Lions Gate Bridge of course therefore. It was unbelievable, but I think Seattle had worse weather than we did. Mother Nature reminds us of our humanity.
